Early Mother’s Day Gifts
Last weekend while I was doing a little online shopping I remembered Mother’s Day was coming up. I started thinking about something nice/cute I could get Esther for her first Mother’s Day. Then, for whatever reason, the image of three peas in a pod popped into my head. I did a quick Google search and found some unique items on Etsy that I thought would make nice gifts. For those who aren’t familiar, Etsy is an online market full of stores run by crafty people just like you and me who sell their hand-made creations online. You can find everything from pieces of fine art to custom jewelry and everything in between.
I first found a little crocheted three peas in a pod amigurumi (that’s the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals) made by Lybo. I asked if she would attach a magnet on the back and voilà, a cool little refrigerator magnet (Esther likes them).
Then, this pea pod necklace charm made by Sudlow Jewelry caught my attention. Esther doesn’t really wear jewelry, but luckily they also had the same thing as a keychain. They’ll even stamp a message of your choice on the tag. In our case, I went with the kid’s names.
If you’re looking for something unique to get someone for Mother’s Day check out Etsy.
