I finally found some time over winter holidays to make the first year video. Enjoy, family and friends!
18 months – Counting our blessings this holiday season
Written By: Esther / Category: News / View Comments: 3
Normally I post about our struggles, but this holiday season I’m highlighting our blessings – because they are plentiful. The smoke is clearing, survival mode is truly behind us (even though the night wakings are not, haha), and we can see the light. The very, very bright light.
Jason’s parents and brother moved here a few months ago. They took over the nanny position, caring for the babies while I work, and bringing the kind of support only family has to offer. I don’t know many people so lucky! The sense of safety, trustworthiness, and reliability they brought us eases our burdens in more ways than they realize. They release me to make great strides in my work, as I am no longer constantly distracted, worrying if the triplets are being well cared for in my absence. I see how much Nana, Papa, and Uncle love the babies. At last, the triplets are getting all the attention and care they need. We will be forever thankful that Jason’s [Continue Reading…]
Our favorite items for the first year

For all those to-be triplet moms who have been asking, I put together a comprehensive list of things I really loved in the first year. I linked everything to amazon (except the triplet table, which I linked elsewhere), because that’s where we bought everything (using prime, which I got for free as a new mom). Also, I am grateful to the triplet moms (Ashley and Meri) who GAVE me a number of these things. Ladies, thank you very much!!!
In no particular order:
1. We purchased inexpensive convertible carseats, not the infant ones. I can’t imagine [Continue Reading…]

Milestones/stats: All babies weigh about between 22-25 lbs. The boys have 16 teeth and Emilia has 12 teeth. Eye color for all babies remains green/hazel. (No one got my brown eyes!)
For their 16 month check up, the doc told us again that the babies are doing wonderfully, although they may be somewhat behind singletons. Apparently 16 month olds say one word by now (other than mama and dada), wave, high-five, eat with a spoons (ok, I admit it, my bad) and should be drawing!! (I had no idea!)
“Have you started them on the spoon?” No. Why do I need to push the spoon at 16 months? The dog is getting fat enough as it is. Plus, it already takes me no less than 45 mins per meal, and half of it ends up on the floor.
“Have you given them a pen and let them draw?” No. It never occurred to me to give my kids pens. The other two would see the pen, and a screaming war would begin over rights to the pen. If I gave all 3 of them pens, someone would [Continue Reading…]
Best elliptical machine for home use
Written By: Esther / Category: News / View Comments: 4
After tons of research, I found the best elliptical machine on the market for home use: Very stable, great ergonomics (for going backwards and forwards, and working upper and lower body), 20 inch stride, 20 levels of power incline and resistance, 11 programs, and a USB stick that allows you to save and track your progress via the website.
As a new triplet mom and full-time PhD student, I have no time for the gym, yet I quickly learned that stroller walks and yoga videos were not going to last. Pushing the triplets around in the triple jogger hurt my wrists, and [Continue Reading…]

Hello friends and family! I’m sorry for the long, silent departure. It’s been kinda crazy around here. You’ll notice I removed the photo gallery, too. I may post pics on the page here and there, but I decided to limit the baby pics for now. Several of you are fellow triplet moms who have been writing me for years, so if you want to find me on facebook, that would be fine (as long as I recognize you, of course).
Milestones: All babies run! (I think they skipped the walking part.) No one has crawled since 12 months, and so far, only minor injuries have resulted, usually to the head. Multiple times a day, a loud thump is followed by the inevitable, “waaaaaEEEEEEOOOOO!!” Baby bumper cars are frequent: one baby purposefully rams the other, and both fall down. Trust me, it’s funny. Babies climb all couches and chairs, and the occasional baby gate. They all repeat words like, “Mama,” “Dada,” “Hi,” [Continue Reading…]
