Interview with a Working Triplet Mom
Written By: Esther / Category: News / View Comments: 3
Triplet mom, Meri Raffetto, is my inspiration. Since her babies’ conception (now 2 years old), she’s published 3 books. Her third book, The Mediterranean Diet Cookbook for Dummies®, just hit the shelves. The book launch party is Nov. 30th, in San Diego.
I interviewed Meri to find out how she takes care of triplets while working from home.

I finally found the time to dig through the last month of photos. We picked our favorites and posted them to a new gallery entitled 5 Months Old. We also updated our family gallery as well…
Most of these photos were taken by Esther’s Aunt Paula and Uncle Chris.
As you can see everyone is doing great and growing fast! As always, thank you all very much for taking the time to send in your positive comments, advice, notes/emails, etc. We really appreciate all the comments and emails!

Milestones this week: If her hands are gripped around something, Emilia stands on her own, minutes at a time. All babies smile and giggle at each other. Today, William leaned over and licked Jackson right on the mouth. Then he started sucking Jackson’s face, but I stopped him. All three SEEM to say “Mama.”
I’m a little concerned with milestones they might be missing. Emmy amazed us with her strength and standing ability, but has yet to roll over. Most babies do so by a max of 6 months, which gives her a week to go. The boys roll constantly, but neither back to front, also usually accomplished by 6 months. I’m told to bring it up to the doc if they don’t roll in a week or so. So, I’m putting extra effort into teaching them how to roll this week.
Daylight saving time really screwed up our schedule. The babies started waking at 5am instead of 6am, and eating every 3 hours or so. During the second week of this, I [Continue Reading…]
My triplet “11″ birthday
Written By: Esther / Category: News / View Comments: 0
I usually post on Fridays because the babies were born on a Friday. This Friday also happens to be my much-anticipated triplet 11/11/11 birthday. The babies are 22 weeks this friday (double 11). Based on numerology, my number is…3. I’ve been planning big things as long as I can remember, but I never expected triplets in the year my triplet 11 birthday! It’s supposed to the one of the biggest (if not the biggest) years of my life. Let’s see…I got married and had 3 babies…that oughta do it.
I say this stuff is just coincidence, but I find cause for celebration anyway! In the past year, I met the love of my life, and we had triplets. As whirlwind as it’s been, my life has never made more sense.
I hope everyone enjoys this unique day (only comes around every 100 years). The WW1 armistice was was signed on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Also, it’s Veteran’s Day.
So, no blog this week! See [Continue Reading…]

Milestones this week: All babies eat pureed fruit once a day, and rice cereal once a day. William is our best eater and sleeper, with the easiest disposition. Everyone sleeps 10 hours a night. I’m almost human again.
In my humble opinion, babies (like adults), do better on a schedule. Sleeping and waking at the same time everyday takes discipline, as does eating at least 3 meals a day (and not skipping breakfast). Most agree that following a routine leads to better functioning. Common sense and logic would expect the same for babies (but, I could be wrong). Also, the schedule keeps everyone sane, and it’s necessary for helpers, always coming and going. I just point to the detailed schedule on the wall, and everyone knows what to do.
We’re now on a 4-hour schedule! In the first few days we only made it 3 1/2 hours, but now we’re up to 4. The babies eat their first bottles at 7am, and their last at 7pm. They each eat about 7 ounces of [Continue Reading…]
